Met Joe in college and have been married to him for 30 years. Son, Alex (25) lives in Columbia, SC and son Nick (22) attends Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. graduating in May 2015

When did you come to Christ the King?

When the church met in Lake Wylie Elementary School and Pastor Craig’s office was in Morningstar Mini-Storage, newsletters were printed on paper, folded by hand, sorted by zip codes and mailed by the U.S. Postal Service!

What do you love about your role here?

I do the things nobody else wants to do but need to be done so others can do what God has gifted them to do.       

What schools have you attended since high school?

Manchester College and Purdue University.

In addition to the Bible, what books have influenced your thought?

God Calling, Practicing the Presence of God, The Big Book, Redeeming Love and 101 Dalmatians among others.

Wedding, trip to Europe, first 5 years of my boys lives.

What do you do for fun?

Talk with friends and family, watch funny movies, walk, knit, cook, and travel.   

Who do you want to be when you grow up?

I used to want to be Beth Moore, but now I just want to be a better me.

I have been married for 22 years to my husband Ron and we have a daughter who is 21 and a son who is 17.

When did you come to Christ the King?

In 2002 we became members of Christ the King. Both of our children were Baptized and Confirmed by Pastor Craig. In February of 2013 I accepted the position of Administrative Assistant for the church.

What do you love about your role here?

I love that I have the opportunity to serve this staff, congregation, and community. I am truly where God wants me to be. Feel so blessed!   

What schools have you attended since high school?

CPCC and Savannah Technical College.

In addition to the Bible, what books have influenced your thought?

“Made to Crave” and “Unglued” by Lysa TerKeurst and “Financial Peace” by Dave Ramsey

What do you do for fun?

Antique or “Junk” shopping, spending time with family/friends; most recently, exercising

I married my soul mate, Trevor, on September 19, 1998. We met when we both transferred to UNC Charlotte, though we had lived only 15 minutes apart growing up. We have 2 sons ~ Adrian is 12 and Logan is 9, and we have 2 dogs ~ Sadie is a black lab and Luna is a Golden Retriever. 

When did you come to Christ the King?

My family and I started attending CtK in 2008 and I came on staff in November 2010. 

What do you love about your role here?

I love that I get to work with people. I get to explore their gifts, their passions, their loves with them and help them find the ministry God has called them to. 

What schools have you attended since high school?

Appalachian State University and the University of NC at Charlotte.

In addition to the Bible, what books have influenced your thought?

Thriving Through Ministry Conflict by Understanding Your Red and Blue Zones, Building a Discipling Culture, and Just Walk Across the Room.

Any of the Hillsong albums – for worship and rest, Mark Kroos (acoustic guitar) – for rest, and Black Eyed Peas – for a dance party. 

What do you do for fun?

Go on fun outings with my family (hiking, biking, skiing), go on date nights with the hubby and hang out with family and friends over a meal.

A girl version of Pastor Craig. :)

Church planter for Christ the King in 1993.

What do you love about your role here?

I have the privilege of seeing lives transform through the power of God’s Spirit and the Kingdom of God being expressed through the region and the world.

Undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University and graduate degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.

What do you do for fun?

Hiking, camping, team sports, grow a coffee company to feed the world & drinking coffee with friends.

I came on board as Associate Pastor in November 2013

What do you love about your role here?

I have been accepted as family here, brought into such a wonderful place. I have been blessed to meet so many adolescents and their families, I am excited to see what God is doing and will do in there lives.

What do you do for fun?

I love to bicycle when I can, not crazy enough to mountain biking, but road biking. I love to travel and have been in 37 of the 50 states, I have been to Europe and would love to go back.

I am doing what I have always wanted to do; serve adolescents and their families, helping them to learn form Jesus and then going and doing what he did.
